A maker’s journey from model cars to a full creative business
My name is Paul, and my creative journey started when I was a young boy building 1/24 and 1/25 scale plastic car models. Those kits taught me patience, detail, and the joy of creating something with my own hands. Like many people, I drifted away from the hobby as a teenager when life pulled me in other directions.

About twelve years ago, I returned to model building as a way to unwind during nights and weekends. But this time, I wanted more detail — more realism, more precision, more ways to bring my ideas to life. That curiosity led me to buy my first inexpensive 3D printer. I learned the basics of how it worked, and that knowledge opened a door I didn’t expect.

As I grew more confident, I upgraded to better printers and began producing detailed 3D‑printed figures, painting them, and pushing my skills further. One day, someone asked me to design a special clip. Since I used CAD at work, I drew up a model, printed it, and realized something important:
this wasn’t just a hobby anymore — it could be a business.

From that moment, I expanded into laser cutting and engraving, combining it with 3D printing to create custom items for craft shows, online customers, and local shops. What started as a childhood pastime evolved into a full creative venture.

And that’s how Chaos 3D Laser Crafts was born — out of curiosity, craftsmanship, and the desire to turn imagination into something real.
